Kum.Shamshaad Hussain Baig an ardent devotee of Shirdi Saibaba is a multi faceted personality. She is a famous Journalist, prolific Writer, Publisher and a Reiki Master (Usui Reiki) and Karuna Reiki.

Kum.Shamshaad Hussain Baig was born in Mumbai City of Maharashtra to Smt.Arefa Baig and Shri.Mirza Hussain Baig.

She has completed B.Sc. Microbiology from Mumbai University, Post Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from Bombay College of Journalism. She has also completed Reiki Master Course (Usui Reiki) & Karuna Reiki.

Kum.Shamshaad Hussain Baig came to Saibaba’s fold in the year 1997.Saibaba has said, “I pull my devotee, as one pulls a sparrow with string to its legs.” Baba’s first call came in the year 1997, when she  visited the famous Shri Bhagwati Sai Sansthan, Panvel for the first time. This was the first time she was visiting a Shirdi Saibaba’s temple. She felt very calm and peaceful there.

After a year, she had the opportunity to go to Shirdi. She still remembers vividly, the moment her bus reached Nasik, she felt bliss descending over her.

She humbly says the first time she touched the stone on which Baba sat in Dwarakamai, a kind of energy passed through her. She cherished the experience; but after that, whenever she went to Shirdi and waited for that sensation, she  never experienced it again. May be, on her first visit, Saibaba wanted her to know that she is connected to Him.  

In 2002, unbidden, a thought came to her to write a book on Shri Saibaba, the idea was that anyone could carry it easily, wherever one went and glance through it, whenever one had a few minutes free.

She was caught up with the self-defeating thought that she is not even a good writer, nor she is  a great devotee of Baba. Hence,  how can she write a book on Him. So she decided to seek His guidance. As usual, she sought His guidance and opened Shri Sai Satcharita; the book opened on chapter 3, where Baba tells Annasaheb Dabholkar, “You have my full consent to write my life.” She immediately saw this is an indication for her to start penning the book.

In November 2002, she started writing, after a few days she stopped writing as more important survival issues caught her attention. Then again, in the beginning of 2003, she decided to get down to writing Baba’s book. But, again, she wanted to further clarify the issue with Baba, whether she should pen His book. So, once again, she randomly opened Shri Sai Satcharita and lo! It opened on chapter 6, and her eyes fell on ‘‘When I myself start to write anything, I cannot compose a few words or sentences; but when He of His own accord makes me write, I go on writing... and there is no end to it.’’ So, this was the second indication from Baba to her to write.

Finally, in the year 2006, she published the book in English titled ‘Sai Katha Sagar’, a book that chronicles life, leelas and teachings of Shirdi Saibaba.This easy to read book with separate chapters on Baba's birth and arrival in Shirdi, Udi Miracles, Dakshina, Baba’s teachings, Devotees’ experiences, etc. This book has been applauded for its visual presentation, easy to read style and conciseness.

In 2011, Shri Saibaba inspired her to spread His utterances through Blessing Cards (like Tarot Cards) on Saibaba. In 2012, she was participating in Divine Healing Hands Soul Healer Programme by Master Zhi Gang Sha and on the last day of the programmes, she saw Saibaba standing on the stage and urging her: "why do you worry about the finance? Everything will be taken care of... Don't worry, you just start, I am there to support you". After this she stopped worrying and started working on the project. There were innumerable Leelas of Baba guiding her throughout this project. These cards are not prediction or astrology-based cards. These are guidance cards. Each pack contains A. Blessings from two Spiritual Masters; B.60 utterances of Baba with colourful and attractive design; and C. A Guide Book on how to use the Blessing Cards. Sai Devotees who have purchased these cards are using them as: 1. Keep it in their altar/ prayer room and the pack radiates Divine energy; 2.Using it to seek answers/ solutions to their problems 3.Daily pick one card and Meditate on the message from Saibaba and get His Divine Answer. These Blessings Cards were launched by the Grace of Baba in the year 2012.

In the year 2003, she started her own company M/s.Prasaar Communications. With Baba's inspiration in January 2013, she decided to focus on the spread of Saibaba's message and with His Divine Guidance started the official website - http://sai-blessings.com/. Through this website she also launched the free Sai Blessing Newsletter in February 2013. The intention of this website launch is to bring services and products to enrich life as guided by Baba. From 1st February 2013, Saibaba initiated her to give readings with Shri Saibaba Blessing Cards to the people who apporach her for guidance.

She also regularly writes articles in Shri Sai Leela Magazine published by Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi).

She feels it to be a Honour to be in the Sai Durbar. She would also like to share "It is Saibaba who gets things done through us and we are just instruments in His hands".

At present she is living with her Parents, two Brothers (one younger and one elder) and a younger Sister at her Koper Khairne residence at Navi Mumbai.
