Shri. Ramachandra M Adkar is a pricelss gem among Sai Devotees. He was personally blessed by Sai Baba. Baba took the child "Ramachandra" on his lap, pampered him and gave His Divine Blessings to the child.

Shri.Ramachandra M Adkar was born to Madhavrao Vaman Adkar  and Ganga Bai Adkar on 4th March 1915. His Centenary Celbration was held on a grand manner on 6th April 2014 in which selected Sai Devotees from all over India were invited. He successfully completed 102 years on 4th March 2016.

During the long life span which he had spent with the blessings of Sai Baba, he had achieved great success in various fields of activity. Being a multi-faceted personality, Shri.Ramachandra Adkar had donned the role of Freedom Fighter, Social Service Activist, a successful Doctor, competent Astrologer, a dedicated Teacher and more than all a dedicated Sai Devotee.

Shri.Madhav Rao Vaman Adkar was the one who has written the famous “Aarti Saibaba Saukhya Dhathara Jeeva” which baba liked very much and even today this Aarti is sung twice in a day during Afternoon Aarti & Dhoop Aarti.

Madhav Rao was an ascetic by nature and often went on pilgrimage to Pandharpur. Once Madhav Rao went to shirdi and was serving Baba. One day when he was in Dwarkamai with Baba, Baba said,"Madhav Rao two men will come to take you home, you better go. You will beget a son, and you should name him Ram." A short while later his father-in-law and father came to Dwarkamai. Both pleaded with Baba saying,"Baba, do send this Madhav Rao home. Though married he shirks his responsibilities." Baba replied,"He will accompany you." Thus Madhav Rao went home and a year later a son was born. He was named Ramachandra. Ganaga Bai brought the young child for Baba's darshan and blessings. Baba took young Ramachandra from his hands and made him to sit on his lap. As of now Shri.Ramachandra Adkar is the only person alive and who has seen Shirdi Saibaba. His mother died two years later and his maternal grandparents brought up Ram.

Ramachandra studied up to 5th class in Marathi medium. His father was a linguist and taught him to read and write Urdu. When he grew up he sought the job of a school master, but was appointed as headmaster. Thus he was in charge of four schools. Three months later he was married to Mathura Bai Kulkarni. They stayed in their father's home in Barsi, where he continued to work as headmaster. They had two sons and three daughters. He retired in 1972 and in 1980 moved to Pune where he stayed till his last breath.

Shri.Ramachandra M Adkar  could not remember baba’s face but he could clearly remember baba’s feet till his last days (as told by him to Shri.Nagaraj Anvekar, Pune during later’s visit to his place).

With the inspiration and strength given by Sai Baba, he had built a splendid Sai Baba Mandir during 2001-2005 on a vast 3 acre of land at a place called "Loni" near Pune. Hundreds of Sai Devotees have been blessed by Sai Baba through this Sai Mandir. Mandir Inaguration Day (19th February) and Shri.Madhavrao Adkar Death Anniversary (18th November) are being celebrated with great reverence and devotion in a grand scale in this Mandir.

Shri.Ramachandra Adkar and his wife Smt.Mathura Bai Adkar (60 years) stayed with their Son Dr.Arun Adkar and Shri.Janardhan Adkar (who belongs to 4th generation) at Pune and lead a happy and peaceful life.

Smt.Mathura Bai Adkar passed away on Monday, 17th October 2016 at the age of 93. Shri.Ramachandra Adkar took Samadhi exactly on his 103rd year Birthday on Saturday, 4th March 2017.
