After finishing his schooling he was eager to learn music in a methodical manner.  He did his Graduation from Delhi University (Distance Learning) and side by side he started doing job to fulfill the need of livelihood.  He joined Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra, Mandi House, New Delhi to learn Vocal in the year 1990 under the guidance of Ms.Charanjit Soni who is a renowned TV/AIR singer of light classical vocal (Sister of singer Bhupindra).  He started his first lesson of music from her and he started learning light vocal music like geet, bhajan, ghazal etc. from her.  In 1991 he got admitted himself to Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi to learn classical vocal music under the guidance of Shri Sudhanshu Bahuguna upto Sangeeth Visharad and learnt Sangeeth Alankar under the guidance of Pandit Shri Jagdish Mohan.  He got 1st class in Sangeeth Visharad in classical vocal from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
