Sri.V. Mukund Rolle was born on 25th May 1964 at Mandya, Karnataka. He was born as the youngest son of Late Sri.Rolle Venkatachalaiah and Late Smt.R.V.Kamalamma. His father was a famous Artist, Classical Musician and Harikatha Vidwan popularly known as “Rolle Venkatachalaiah”. He started learning classical music from his father at a very early age of eight.

His parents were ardent devotees of Shirdi Saibaba. They started singing Sai Bhajans at Saibaba Bhajan Mandali, Old Town, Mandya. Mukund Rolle got inspiration from his parents and he also started singing Sai Bhajans at Bala Vikas Classes in Mandya. His favorite Bhajans were “Hey Govinda, Hey Gopala and Hey Madhava Madhusudhana”  The entire family did this weekly Bhajan signing for several years till they were in Mandya. Later on, the family relocated to Bangalore and settled in Domlur, where they continued their Bhajan singing at Domlur Saibaba Seva Samithi. Here Mukund learnt several Sai Bhajans from his parents. From the year 1989, he started singing Sai Bhajans along with his brother Late Sri.V.Nanda Ramesh Rolle at Sai Samaj, Cambridge Layout, Ulsoor, Bangalore under their Bhajan Group “Sai Mukund & Party”.

He has given Bhajan Programmes at many Saibaba Temples in Bangalore, Mylapore Saibaba Temple, Chennai,  Nagasai Temple, Coimbatore, Dwarakamai Temple, Coimbatore,  Venkusababa Temple, T.T.Palya, Saibaba Paduka Trust, Salem.

He is a B Grade Artist of All India Radio, Bangalore and has been giving light music programmes for the last 25 years.

He has acted in many television serials produced by Doordarshan, Bangalore. Some of the TV serials are: 1. Krishna Nee Begane Baro 2. Ree Maribedi 3. Katha Vyakthi 4. Kalikarna 5. Bedavada Magu.

He has given several light music programmes at Bangalore Doordarshan.

He has been giving Film Hits through several  Orchestra Troupes in Bangalore. Some of them being New Five Star Music, Shruti Melody N Music and etc.

He has received several awards, mementos and recognition for performing at various Saibaba Temples, Orchestra Programmes and Light Music Programmes. 

In January 2011, he released 6 volumes of Saibaba Bhajan CD’s. These CD’s were produced by his wife Smt.Indirani Mukund.

His wife Smt.Indirani Mukund and daughters Kum.R.M.Varalakshmi and Kum.R.M.Lavanya are very supportive and are joining and supporting him in singing chorus in his Bhajan Group.

His ambition is to continue singing Saibaba Bhajans and teach Sai Bhajans to the younger generation till his last breath.
