Shri.Jaidev Chatterjee was born in a Music loving family of Lucknow on 14th February 1975 to his parents Shri.Raj Kumar Chatterjee and Smt.Shibani Chatterjee. He is a multi-faceted personality who has donned the various roles in life that of a Journalist, Poet, Sketcher, Fashion Designer, Composer, Singer, Vocal Trainer. Being a multi-talented personality Shri. Jaidev was motivated to take up some form of musical expression by his father Shri.Raj Kumar Chatterjee popularly known as Junior Kishore Kumar.

Jaidev had his initial training under the watch full tutelage of Pandit Shri. Rameshwar Prasad Mishra of Banaras Gharana fame.

In a span of 10 years, Young Jaidev began to emerge as a promising singer. Jaidev also received lessons as a student regarding the concept of Bhajans from Bhajan Maestro Shri. Anup Jalota and Ghazals from Ghazal Maestro Shri.Jagjit Singh.

He has won numerous Awards like Gulshan Kumar Award, E-TV Award. He was conferred the prestigious "Gazal Shree" Award from Sanstha Institute of Human Resource, Research & Development on 10th October 2012. He has given countless programmes, Stage- Shows with the Stars like Kum. Mahalaxmi Ayyer (Don Fame), Shri. Anup Jalota, Smt. Aisha Darbaar (Ismail Darbaar’s wife) etc all over India. In the year 2011, Shri.Jaidev travelled extensively across Malaysia from 22nd April 2011 to 28th August 2011 and gave many memorable performances.

Currently he is working on a Ghazal Album in fusion style which would be released in the year 2012.

It has to be noted that he gives due weightage to Ghazals, Bhajans and Film Songs which shows his versatility.
