Sri T.V.Hariharan was born on 4th September 1959 at Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. He hails from the family lineage which is soaked in spiritual background. In his early days, he learnt Carnatic Classical Violin from Sri.Sambavoor Vadakarai Shivaramakrishna Bhagavatar and gave  Classical Violin concerts in various places in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Shri.T.V.Hariharan affectionately called as “Hari” by his loved ones, has had his schooling and pre-university in his native place and moved on to Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh, India) to continue his collegiate education. He was one among the very first batch of students at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of higher learning(now Sri Sathya Sai University), Prashanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi in the year 1979, which Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba established to imbibe spiritual education, integrated harmoniously with the teaching of ethical, physical and metaphysical subjects. During his college days, he started singing and composing Bhajans with the Divine Blessings of Sathya Saibaba.

After obtaining degree in Bachelor of Science from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prashanthi Nilayam, Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India, he worked voluntarily for about two and half years at the Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram. Later on he moved to Bangalore where he joined a multi-national company Smith, Klien & French Pharmaceuticals (now Glaxo Smith, Klien pharmaceuticals) as a Marketing Research Executive. After a brief stint of about 3 years, from 1985 to 1988 with the Multi National Company, much to the surprise of every one, in the year 1988 Sri.Hariharan resigned his job one fine day as his inner voice prompted him to realize that the purpose of his life is to sing and spread the Glory of the Lord and share the Universal Love. His sole aim of life is to promote Brotherhood of Man and Fatherhood of God through Love and in the form of Music.

He has carved a niche for himself and earned laurels through his unparalleled rendition of Bhajans, Sankeerthans, and devotional songs with infectious devotion, abiding love and unflinching faith for more than two decades now. He takes everyone to ecstasy and sublime heights through his devotional bhajans. Dedicating all his life to the singing and spreading the Glory of the Lord, Hariharan has travelled extensively and has given performances in India (Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala) on reputed stages like Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Gayana Samaja, Sindhi Hall etc. He has also given performances in foreign countries like Australia, Canada, Singapore, United Sates of America, UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Alruwais and Sharjah). He has performed with renowned Bollywood Music Director Sri.Ravindra Jain at Gayan Samaj, Bangalore.

Sri.Hariharan sings bhajans in multi-languages that include: Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Kannada, etc. He is a renowned Composer, Music Director and Singer of International Acclaim.

He has cut many albums such as Sai Prem Varsha by HMV(one of the leading music production houses in India), Soham-Soham, Voice of the Heart, Bhajan Gems, Madhuram Sai Geetham, Sai Shiva Consciousness, Oneness etc.

Recently in the year 2010, he has released 5 Devotional Albums sung by renowned singers of Indian Film Industry like Sri.Hariharan, Sri.Shankar Mahadevan, Sri.Sumeet Tappooji, Smt.Richa Sharma, Sri.Kunal Ganjawala, Smt.Gayathri and renowned South Indian Playback Singers Sri.Tippu and Smt.Harini.

For the benefit of Sai Devotees he has composed more than 250 Sai Bhajans which are sung all over the world in Sai Samithi’s. To name a few are, Aananda Maya Bhagavan, Lambodhara Gananatha Gajanana, Narayan Narayan Bhajamana Narayan, Sai Ram Sai Shyam Merey Sai Ram, Jaya Maa Jaya Maa Daya Karo Sai Maa, Eshwar Allah Ek Thumhi Ho, Hey Shyama Sundara, Aruna Ramana Sri Guru Deva etc.

Sri.Hariharan is teaching devotional singing classes for the past 25 years apart from giving performances.
