Sai Mahabhakta Late Hari Bhau Karnik's details are mentioned in Chapter 33 of Holy Shri Sai Satcharitra.

Hari Bhau Karnik, a loving devotee was the resident of Dahanu. He was a singular devotee of Shri Sai Baba. In the year 1917, on the auspicious Guru Poornima Day, he came for pilgrimage to Shirdi. He did the worship according to rituals and offered clothes and dakshina. When he took permission to leave and came down the steps of the Dwarakamai, he had a thought in his mind.

He felt like going up and giving Baba one more rupee. But he had to give up this idea and keep the rupee without offering it. Madhavrao Deshpande (Shyama) who had got for him the permission to leave, he himself gave him a sign, from up above, that once the permission was granted, one should depart immediately.

Having faith in the indication, Hari Bhau Karnik let the Dwarakamai and started on his journey. On the way, he got down at Nasik with his friend. When Hari Bhau Karnik went for darshan to the temple of Kaala Ram, he had unexpected darshan of the Saint Narsing Maharaj. Maharaj was sitting surrounded by devotees. But he suddenly got up, held Karnik by the wrist and said: "Give me my rupee".

Karnik was surprised but joyfully handed over the rupee. He felt that it was Sai, Himself, who knowing his desire was accepting the rupee.

It is not true to say that Sai accepted it. Though Karnik had forgotten it, Narsing Maharaj held his hand and by force took dakshina. This is the real truth. This shows how the saints work in unison. This story illustrates the fact that all Saints are one and shows how they work in unison.

Sant Narsing Maharaj Samadhi Mandir is situated in Nasik itself. Sai devotees who visit Nasik can have darshan of Sant Narsing Maharaj Samadhi Mandir.
