Sai Mahabhakta Ganesh Raghunath Teli, was a Honorary Magistrate who was residing at Bombay Road, Thana.

On 13th December 1936, he narrated in his own words the experiences he had with Shri Sai Baba to Late Shri.B.V.Narasimha Swamji as below:

I went to Sai Baba in the year 1914 or 1915. Baba demanded dakshina from me and said "Give me 1 rupee 2 annas and 6 pies". That was the exact sum that I had in my pocket and of course, His asking of that sum was based on His mysterious knowledge of that fact. I immediately gave Him the sum. At that time, there was a nurse by name Chandrabai with me. Baba asked her for 6 rupee 7 annas 0 pies. That again was the exact sum that was in her possession. She gave Him that sum. We asked permission from Baba to leave Shirdi on the same day. Baba told her, "Why not stay for some time?". She pleaded she had some other engagement somewhere and we left Shirdi that very night. That very night or rather early in the morning before she reached her home, thieves had broken into her house, carried away Rs.500 worth of property and caused other damage. I have no other experiences of Baba to share. I went merely to have darshan of Sai Baba. Baba's darshan increased the faith that I had in Him. That is enough for me. Within a year of my return from Shirdi, my son Nanu was born.
