Sai Mahabhakta Cursetji Shapurji Pestonjama, was a Parsi who worked for Indian Railways and as Yard Master, Reclamation. He was a resident of Kolaba, Khusrubad, Baug, Mumbai.

On 7th July 1936, he narrated in his own words the experiences he had with Shri Sai Baba to Late Shri.B.V.Narasimha Swamji as below:

I went only once in my lifetime to Shirdi to have darshan of Sai Baba. I stayed there for three or four days. I went along with my brother-in-law and stayed on the ground floor of Dixit Wada while Mine Owners and other rich people were accomodated upstairs. As we went and sat before Baba at the Dwarakamai Masjid this thought was in our mind. Eventhough, we did not express it, the thought "what sort of justice is here, in this Darbar. Big people enjoing comforts above and poor people left downstairs to suffer inconvenience" passed over mind. At the very moment, Sai Baba told some one present in the Masjid: "Take these people up" and accordingly we were given accommodation upstairs. This was the proof of Baba's reading our mind and of His love for equality and justice. When finally we were leaving Shirdi, Baba came out of Dwarakamai Masjid and graciously waved His hand as a sort of "Blessing" to us. I believe and adore Him as God incarnate.
