Dear Sai Bandhus,

SAI SEVA [Service to Sai] should be the very breath of our lives. Service to Sai should be offered with “Trikarana Shuddhi”. It is a service that is offered with the spirit of humility of not endorsing oneself with the doer-ship of the karma, a service that is offered with no selfish motive, vested interest and purity in thought that the karma or the act will benefit the mankind, a service done as an offering at the FEET of the UNIVERSAL LORD -SAI SAMARTHA with a sense of gratitude and responsibility for having been selected by HIM to execute the task and finally as a service to absolve ourselves from this samsara and attain oneness with HIM. Only such a seva is called SAI SEVA and such a service alone would make us aware of LORD SAI’s proximity with us.

Let us all tread the path of Sai Seva laid by Sai mahabhaktaas like Shyaama, Mahalsapati, Kakasaheb Dikshit, Dasaganu Maharaj and many others. Let us all develop the innocent love and devotion of Sri Meghashyam whose Sai Seva was immaculate, daily he travelled quite a distance to get water from river Godavari (which is considered as holy as Ganga river) for Sai Baba’s bath, so fixed was his mind in Sai Seva that the very arduous path from Shirdi  to the river meant nothing for him. He never complained of pain in getting water from Godavari nor did he feel  proud that he was doing one such act. Such was the greatness in Megha’s humility which is certainly an example for us to develop the same.

Great was the life of one more Sai Mahabhaktaa- Sri Mahalsapati, who was down with several personal problems and poverty, never misused his position despite of many a rich Sai devotees offering him money to overcome his financial state. He humbly refused all the wealth and chose lord Sai’s Feet alone. The best quality of Mahalsapati was that he silently prayed to Lord Sai for everyone’s welfare. So, simple in external appearance, yet Mahalsapati was the proud owner of the priclesss- “Sai Bhakti and Seva”.

No second word about the greatness of Shyaama, one of the beloved Ankita bhaktaas of Sai Baba. A careful reading of Sai Satcharitra very clearly upholds the selfless attitude (Niswaartha Bhaava) of Shyaama. He was always busy enquiring about the welfare of all the devotees who came to have darshan of Lord Sai. Infact, many a times, if a devotee had come to Sai Maharaj with a genuine problem, Shyaama used to enquire the same and convey it to Baba in a very presentable way and used to pray Sai to redeem them from their difficulties. He did all this without any expectation from the devotees. How great was Shyaama, what more can we speak of such a veritable manifestation of “Sai Seva”.

Along with the above mention, many more Sai Mahabhaktaas have shone like live examples of SAI SEVA. Our humble salutations at the holy feet of all the Sai Mahabhaktaas, for showing us the path of what a true SAI SEVA is.

Salutations at the divine Feet of Lord Sai and our humble prayers to HIM to make our life, our thoughts,  actions & deeds a SAI SEVA.

Sri Sai Sahasranama Bhashya

194) OM SRI SAI URJITA VAAKPRADAATRE NAMAH

[Meaning: - Salutations to Lord Sai who demonstrated HIS very essence to his devotes in the form nectarine-like assurances]

The word “Urjita” here means exalted or that of the highest order. So, when Lord utters a word or a sentence, undoubtedly it should be of the highest order with none equals to it.   Here, the word “Urjita Vaak” refers to exalted words could be soothing words of comfort, firm words that would keep one in the right path, promising words that would instil confidence and trust in one’s mind and impart the lore of self-realization to the saadhaka.

It the duty of us to understand and assimilate these divine words that emanate from Sai Maharaj and once having done so, we will be the highly benefitted amongst the beings in this universe. Also, once we have realized the indepth meaning of these words, it’s our bound duty to spread the same to the entire mankind with the sole thought “Sarve Janaah Sukhno Bhavantu, Samasta Sanmangalaani Bhavantu”

It is Sai Baba who has called you people to serve here. Have Darshan of Shri Sai Baba by serving His Devotees.  After doing the service in Shirdi, continue to serve in your respective villages. When you keep your respective villages  clean, the Country will prosper.  Because of rendering services like hard labour,  Innovation, Soil conservation done in the villages from the past 30 years, today I am fortunate to be here today amidst you people as main watch of Shri Sai Sevak Yojana. In the interest of farmers, Shri Sai Baba Sansthan should  start doing Organic carbon farming and also Models for Soil Testing".

Speaking on the occasion Sansthan’s Chairman Dr.Suresh Haware said "I was fortunate that I got the opportunity to visit Ahmed Nagar District  for t Rural Development Works, Cleanliness Management, Water Resources Management etc. At the 14th June 2017 Shri Sai Savak Conference which was held in Shirdi, an appeal was made to register the names for Shri Sai Sevak Yojana and we received an overwhelming response. All in all, 570 Palanquin Groups have registered their names in this Yojana. Out of which 520 groups will be given opportunity to serve in the beginning. The first 10 groups registration is Historic. Whenever the history of Shri Sai Seva Yojana is recalled, these 10 groups will be named at that time and it will be a historic moment. The word “Sai Sevak” is very Unique. This word given by Shri Sai Baba is a greatest honour for all. The fact that Baba has chosen you people to do this work itself means Baba has love and faith in you. After doing service to Sai Devotees for 7 days in Shirdi, Certificates will be issued to all the volunteers. Please frame of it and display the certificate on the walls in your respective homes. Let everyone know that a Sai Sevak is in your home. Just like you people served in Shirdi, in the same way, continue the same kind of service in your respective home town, village and City as well. Please follow the mantra of "Shraddha" and "Saburi" given by Shri Sai Baba. Now that you people are Sai Sevaks, doing service will be moulded in your characters and it is upto you to abide by the same. There is a very big difference beteween Working and Serving. Whenever Devotion is mixed with Water it becomes Tirth (Holy water). Likewise, when Devotion is mixed with Work, it becomes Service. That is the reason why, we can see there will always be spoonful of tirth (Holy water). Instead of doing lot of works,  working moment to moment will always be mind blowing. Before starting the service, Volunteers will be given oath. Kindly follow the same. Special congratulations to Women Volunteers who have participated in this programme.
