He who cometh to My Samadhi, his sorrow and suffering shall cease.
January 2019 Vol 11 / Issue 1

Dear Sai Bandhus,

The true nature of a bhakta praarthana (a devotee’s prayer) is that of a selfless one. So, selfless that he asks nothing for himself, not even moksha. Sounds strange !!! If we don’t ask for moksha, we are again caught in this samsara, which is definitely not desirable, then what should we do?

Let us first understand that, the moment we have surrendered at the feet of our Guru Samartha Sainath Maharaj, we have no worriers to harbour, as HE knows what is good for us and what is not. As mentioned in Sai Satcharitra, when we place our complete belief in our helmsman (i.e. Guru), HE will safely take us across the ocean of samsara and give us moksha. So, by complete surrender at HIS Feet and meekly following HIM, we are sure to get liberated. Now, if we are sure to get moksha, then for what we need to and for whom we need to pray? The answer to this question is well answered in our scriptures that, our prayers should always be towards the benefit of mankind, we should pray that the suffering should be redeemed on the same, the fallen should be uplifted, the oppressed to be pulled up and blessed. In fact, Lord too expects that our prayers should be selfless and always directed towards Loka kalyaana.

May we all pray to our Guru Samartha, to make this world more peaceful, happy and prosperous. LOKAAH SAMASTAAH SUKINO BHAVANTU.

Sri Sai Sahasranama Bhashya

207) OM SRI SAI EKATMA SARVADESHADRUSHE  NAMAH

[Meaning: - Salutations to Lord Sai Samartha who is that one soul that sees all]

The Supreme One is exolled in our Upanishads as “….. Saakshi Cheta Kevalo Nirgunascha…” [i.e. the Supreme One is the witness of all and is formless]. He is the only one who is existent as the three-fold time (bhoota- past, varthamaana- present and bhavishyat- future), in the animate and inanimate objects, permeates every atom of this existence, though sometimes appears with form, is yet  formless and unbound by the dimensions of space and time. So, whatever we utter and extoll or pen down endless definitions or explanations about HIM are still a miniscule and stand fragmentary and incomplete.

Only HE (Supreme One), by HIS immaculate krupa has to shower his benign grace on us by which we will be able to realize HIM. So, to obtain HIS krupaa kataaksha we have to refrain from all the wrong doings that pull us down from the spiritual plane, understand and accept that whatever that has, is and will happen is all by HIS will. When, one understands this he sees the same Universal One in all the souls and finally he realizes that he is none but the Same Universal One who is immanent in everything (i.e. Aaamta saakshaatkaara).
