New Drug Procurment Policy rolled out from Sansthan run Hospitals – Courtesy: Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) The Executive Officer of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) Shri.Rajendra Jadhav informed media persons at a press conference held on Friday, 31st July 2015 that over the years, same old method was being followed for procuring medicines for Sansthan’s run Hospitals. Hence, the Medicine Manufacturing Companies which have created monopoly has informed Sansthan that they will offer the same cost for purchase of medicines and surgical instruments. But from this year Sansthan’s Executive Officer Shri.Rajendra Jadhav is focussing on calling Government Tenders for procurement of medicines and surcial instruments. There will be set terms and conditions as per the Government rule with stipulated time limit for procuring medicines. While procuring medicines from other companies, the Government Hospitals will compare the medicines from differnet local companies for the lowest price offered by them without necessarily compromising on the quality by taking feedback from the doctors and only then select the companies. By following this process, the monopoly of the local companies will be totally stopped. Going forward, Shri Sai Baba Sansthan run Hospitals will also follow the same procedure for procuring the medicines and surgical instruments. In the event, a new company from a new location stars supplying medicine to Sansthan Hospitals, Sansthan will call for their demonstration, their experience and exposure at other places where they have supplied their product will be reveiwed and not but not the least, the price of medicine will be checked. In case of laboratory department, the companies had made a thumb rule that Sansthan Hospitals should purchase medicines from the same comapnies from whom the kits and machines were purchased. Mr.Jadhav opined that once Sansthan starts buying from the new companies, the existing companies who have created Monopoly will be forced to reduce their prices. Hence,Sansthan has decided to buy drugs from places where lowest price is being offered than the government tender prices. To introduce this new tender process in Sansthan run Hospitals, the Doctors, Officers, Case Workers, All Staff Members have put in special efforts and discharged their duty under the able guidance of Sasnthan’s Executive Officer Shri.Rajendra Jadhav, Chief Accounts Officer Shri.Dilip Jirpe, Medical Director Dr.Prabhakar Rao, Purchase Manager Shri.Abhale Kunal, E.D.P Manager Shri.Vinod Kote (Translated from Marathi to English by Shri.Nagaraj Anvekar, Bangalore). Release of New Book on Shirdi Sai Baba by Sai Bhakta Vinny Chitluri titled "A Divine Journey with Baba" - Courtesy: Shri.Nagaraj Anvekar, Bangalore A new book on Eleven Promises made by Shirdi Sai Baba titled "A Divine Journey with Baba" authored by Sai Bhakta Vinny Chitluri and published by Sterling Publishers was released on the auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima Festival on Friday, 31st July 2015 at a simple ceremony in Shirdi. In the first part of this book, the intrinsic, profound meaning is given;replete with Leelas and verses from the Shri Sai Satcharita. The second part of the book offers the “Gems of Baba’s wisdom.” Radha Krishna Mai’s Shala was the focal point, and Baba sent numerous devotees to her Shala. Mai taught and nurtured each devotee to perform Guru Seva. The everyday conversation Baba and Mai had with Swami Sharan Anand led to the process of “Self enquiry” and to realization. This book is a ‘moral and spiritual compass’ for us to take the arduous journey to Shirdi and the feet of Samartha Sadguru Sainath. Vinny Chitluri was born in Arvankadu (Nilgaris), and was educated in Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh). She did her post graduation in Paediatrics from Kalavati Saren Hospital, Delhi. She them went to the US and was conferred the ‘Diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ on passing the board examination. While in the US, she reflected on the karmic bonds with her family. As her father worshipped Baba, she too has been doing so for over 60 years. Her relationship with Baba is that of a ‘best friend’ who loves her unconditionally. She retired from the medical profession at the age of 50, came to Shirdi in 1994 and settled there. Then she set about trying to know more about Baba. She soon realized that ‘the more she learned about him the more ignorant she was’. It would take many lives to understand this incredible God. So her quest is an ongoing one. The 212 Pages book which is decently priced at Rs.200 is a must for all Sai Devotees who would like to know the inner meaning of 11 Assurances of Sai Baba. The Book is available at all leading Stores, Online Stores, Sai Baba Temples. You can also avail copy of the Book by contacting Shri.Nagaraj Anvekar on +91 99023 88699.
