This renewal of certification has added one more feather in the cap of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan which will result in Shri Sai Baba Sansthan getting worldwide recognition. For the benefit of Sai devotees various initiatives have been taken up by Sansthan and starting of Sai Prasadalya was one of them. During His sojourn, Shri Sai Baba used to prepare food all by Himself and used to distribute it to all the devotees. To continue this legacy set by Shri Sai Baba, Sansthan had started Prasada Bhojan from 1st January 1973 at a Hall which was present next to Dikshit Wada. At that time on an average daily about 500-2500 Sai devotees were having Prasad Bhojan . To provide better amenities to ever increasing devotees, the Prasadalaya was shifted to Sai Prasad Building situated near Gate No.1 with effect from 25th January 1980. In this Prasadalaya on an average 22,000 devotees were able to have Prasad Bhojan per day. Later the Management Committee keeping an eye on the future development of Shirdi over the coming years, immediately decided to build a new big Prasadalaya building, and accordingly completed it in a record time. The new Prasadalaya was started on 8th January 2009 where approximately 5000 people can have food at a time. Today In this asia’s biggest Prasadalaya, everyday devotees are having delicious and tasty food without waiting for longer time at a very hygine atmosphere. Thus Transplastic Certification Limited (TCL) had given ISO-22000-2005 (Food Safety standard) on 30th September 2013 to Sai Prasadalaya for the next 3 years. Every year Renewal of the certification is mandatory. For that purpose, Auditor from the company will visit Sri Sai Prasadalaya and conduct the audit and if any Non Compliance is found in the audit report, immediately corrective measures have to be taken and fair audit will be done once again and renewal certificate will be issued. For the Renewal of Sansthan’s Sai prasadalaya, Food Safety Consultant Shri.Dilip Kumar Nandikonda, Hyderabad & Lead Auditor of TCL from Australia and New Zealand group Shri. Chandrashekar Reddy, were appointed as Advisors. Under these 2 person’s able guidance, necessary changes, corrections were carried out at Prasadalaya. Later ISO-22000-2005 (Food Safety Standard) conducted the audit for certification. Final inspection was done and the renewal certificate of ISO-22000-2005 (Food Safety Standard) for the period 15th September 2014 to 29th September 2016 was issued.
