This Saibaba Mandir started in a small thatched shed with Saibaba photo at Sai Balajinagar after a grand procession on the day of Vijayadashmi in the year 1998.
A committee was formed initially with R.S.C.Bose as President and Annam Damodaram as Secretary, who jointly developed the temple day by day with the support of all the local Sai Devotees. The committee purchased a plot for temple adjoining the existing Small Mandir and built a Prayer Hall, A Satsang Hall and other facilities required for the temple.
The temple regularly performs four aarti’s, Samoohika Sai Satcharitra Parayan, Bhajans, Annadanam, Free Eye Camps, Poor Feeding etc.
A new committee was formed with R.Sreeramulu Naidu as President, Sri.S.S. Varma as Secretary and Annam Damodaram as Joint Secretary of the Mandir Trust in the year 2006. The new committee was instrumental in the construction of a large temple of Saibaba. The new committee also implemented the Nithya Annadanam scheme. A beautiful life size idol of Shirdi Saibaba made out of Makharani Stone was brought from Jaipur, Rajasthan along with Marble Idols of Ganapati, Dattatreya, Nandi and Tortoise with voluntary contributions and donation from Local Sai Devotees.
Life size photographs of Shirdi Saibaba in various different postures are present on the temple walls.
Maha Kumbhabhishekam and Prana Pratishta of Shirdi Saibaba Idol were performed by his Holiness Guruji Shri.Chandra Bhanu Satpathi of New Delhi on a large scale on 26th August, 2007. Dr.P.Raghunatha Reddy, Lecturer, Sri Venkateshwara University and Sri.P.G.Prasuna of Shri Shirdi Sai kalyanam Trust, Tirupati) were also present on the occasion and guided the temple committee. |
